What is NAD+ and its Importance in Health and Aging?

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme that participates in the metabolism of our cells’ mitochondria, which generates energy, cell communication signaling, calcium metabolism, gene expression, and DNA repair.  It provides preventive and protective effects in various diseases, such as ischemic stroke, cardiovascular disease, neurodegenerative disease, liver damage, aging, and cell death.

NAD+ also interacts with sex hormones in both sexes, supporting weight control, fertility, and sexual function.

NAD+ and Aging

NAD+ participation in such important health functions is compromised by aging as its levels steadily decline, particularly after 40. By middle age, levels may be less than half of what they were in our youth. This decline has been linked to these signs of compromised health and quality of life:

  • Lower energy levels
  • Slower recovery after physical activity
  • Reduced mental sharpness and memory
  • Aging skin with wrinkles and unhealthy color.

The bottom line is that as cells start running out of the “fuel” they need, their efficient functioning suffers, and so does how we feel and age.

Benefits of NAD+ injections according to scientific studies or patients:

  • Improvement in mitochondrial and stem cell functions
  • Pain reduction due to reduced inflammation
  • Addiction recovery with decreased cravings and withdrawal symptoms. Repairing brain damage caused by substance abuse.
  • Boosts physical performance and recovery, including in athletes and health enthusiasts.
  • Improves cognitive function, “brain fog,” focus, memory, and concentration.
  • Enhances energy, metabolism, weight control, and sense of well-being.
  • Anti-aging and cellular repair.
  • Curtails symptoms of anxiety and depression by boosting serotonin levels.

Injectable vs Oral NAD+

The injectable NAD+ route is preferred due to the assurance of direct delivery into the circulation and comes in intravenous, intramuscular, and subcutaneous (under the skin forms).

  1. NAD IV therapy – has the following drawbacks despite the assumption of rapid rejuvenation.
    • High cost: $500 or more per session
    • Time-consuming: Up to 5 hours per session
    • Short-lived effects: NAD levels spike, then crash

Overall, user-reported NAD IV therapy reviews are mixed, with some seeing quick boosts, others complaining about discomfort and diminishing returns. The reviews conclude that IVs are not a long-term solution for most people.

  1. Intramuscular injections – can be painful with residual soreness
  2. Subcutaneous injections – virtually painless, which we also use for personal anti-aging.
  3. Oral NAD+ supplements Despite convenience and lower cost, a major drawback is that supplements are broken down by the digestive system, leading to poor and inconsistent absorption into the bloodstream. As a result, the body uses only a small and variable fraction of the dose, defeating the purpose. Digestion, gut health, and individual metabolism, which are usually compromised in middle-aged and older people, all influence oral bioavailability. Many studies confirm this by displaying poor absorption of oral NAD+ with only insignificantly raised NAD+ levels in the blood or tissues. Consequently, it can take weeks or months of continuous use to feel some benefits. Patients also reported indigestion and nausea from these supplements.

Best-kept secrets of NAD+ administrations

  1. Similar to other rejuvenating substances, while research recommends using individualized doses for the optimal NAD+ benefits, neither this nor the frequency of administration is known to the physicians, the distributing pharmacies, or the researchers. There are no lab tests to determine these. All of these sources only recommend some ballpark doses.
  2. However, the sciences of hormesis and toxicology determined that the dose plays a crucial role in the difference between benefit and poison, and it is always individual. The latter and frequency of NAD+ administration depend on state of health, the degree of aging and inflammation, genetics, alcohol and smoking consumption, presence of pollutants in the body, and diet with the types of foods that influence the body’s own NAD+ production.
  3. Considering all of these circumstances, the dose and frequency of NAD+ injections without individualizing these, can be too low, failing the benefit, or too high, with side effects.
  4. As with any naturally produced substance by the body that is controlled through self-regulating metabolic feedback loops, excessive dose or its frequency can suppress the body’s own production of the substance that the body utilizes best. Examples excessive doses of corticosteroids and sex hormones, which inhibit the natural production and benefit of these hormones.

Consequently, scientific literature advises: “Dosing regimens are individualized, as there is no one-size-fits-all dosage for NAD+ therapy. Ultimately, the dosage and frequency of NAD+ injection must be tailored to the individual’s needs, treatment objectives, and to minimize any risk of adverse effects.”

How to Determine Optimal Individual Dose and Frequency of NAD+

There is only one test that we have found to be very reliable in determining these. This is a physics-based noninvasive muscle test, bioresonance testing, that led to documented reversals of numerous chronic diseases, and patient reports of feeling rejuvenated from using our treatments for over 30 years. It operates through the same physics or energy fields of our cells as common tests, ECG, CT, and MRI scans. It works on the principle of a lie detector test, where, instead of reacting to questions through brain wave (EEG) patterns, the bioresonance test determines the benefit or contraindication to a tested substance through a change in muscle tone. This applies to determining optimal dose and frequency of NAD+ injections by testing different NAD+ doses.

Why our NAD+ program would provide more health benefits and cost-effectiveness

  1. It is based on an individualized approach using bioresonance testing. Whereas the general recommended frequency for injectables is 2-3 times a week, yet based on the test, it might be only once a week or less.
  2. Another significant reason for requiring fewer NAD+ administrations is our total approach to anti-aging, rejuvenation, diseases, and their prevention over decades, which has achieved remarkable results by addressing the substantial causes of chronic diseases and accelerated aging. This has been produced through special homeopathic remedies based on findings of bioresonance testing for known poisons – environmental pollutants. These invade multiple organs from the brain to the toes since birth and throughout life. Countless scientific studies confirmed this and their role in Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, heart disease, cancer, impotence, and hundreds of other conditions, leading to premature aging and death. Pollutants also increase NAD+ consumption, decrease its production, and do the same to many other beneficial substances in the body, adding to accelerated aging with deterioration of cognitive and physical functions.
  3. Another debilitating health burden that we have been addressing is chronic infections that cause inflammation, which follow pollutant-induced immune suppression.
  4. After addressing pollutants and infections, many people were able to end other health-destroying factors that cause early aging: sugar, alcohol, smoking, and cannabis addictions.
  5. We also analyze all of the important health issues: diet, overall lifestyle, pollution and excessive EMF exposure, medical history, nutritional supplements for every patient, and issue recommendations that enhance health and rejuvenation. Quite often, many middle-aged and older patients reported better energy, memory, vision, hearing, and sex drive.
