Alternative Medicine

Alternative Medicine, by and of itself, is not to be automatically considered as either superior or inferior to conventional medicine, but rather just as being different.

The word "alternative" implies other therapies - those that lie outside of conventional medical paradigm and which avoid the use of drugs, surgery and other common conventional interventions.

The main claims of Alternative Medicine as holding advantage by being natural and more effective do not necessarily hold much truth. As far as the former is concerned, it is not so much to the substance itself, as being natural or not, that assures its harmlessness, but rather how an individual processes this substance in his body. And this is a scientific fact.

From this perspective, the nowadays prevailing allopathic trend in Alternative Medicine to match named D-I-S-E-A-S-E-S with a corresponding pile of "natural" pharmaceuticals has to be considered as dubious. Besides the fact that an individual may process a product basically at random - with some benefit, without it or with outright harm - the piles are doomed to fail. This is because neither the true causes behind D-I-S-E-A-S-E, nor its individual taints in a person afflicted, are known to their prescribers.

Speaking the language of the most precise science - mathematics - having three unknown (x) variables (true causes of a problem, individual differences in expressing a D-I-S-E-A-S-E, individual ability to process (any) medicinal product) out of four in the equation, precludes its solution.

Likewise, the split specialties have failed to solve this equation too. As the result, the effectiveness of Alternative Medicine on a whole remains very sporadic and inconsistent.
